American tech giant Apple has announced an official extension for the Windows and Mac versions of Google’s Chrome that allows users to store and access the passwords in your iCloud Keychain. This could make bouncing between Windows and Mac machines much easier for anyone who uses Chrome as their browser and iCloud Keychain instead of a dedicated password manager.

The company released the password storing extension to the Chrome store on Sunday night. The announcement of the extension means that if you have used Safari to automatically generate strong passwords on other podiums, when you are prompted for a login, those can now be available to you in Chrome. Chrome for Windows passwords will also be synchronized back to iCloud, so they will also be available on Apple devices.
